2016 Palmeri Dark & Brooding Cabernet Sauvignon is very dark in color. The nose opens with lifted delicate florals like red roses, meadow blossoms that quickly evolve to red fruits like cherry and chocolate-covered strawberries. Dark fruits immerge in the glass, starting with blueberry compote, ripe black cherry and loads of juicy blackberry, all this and you haven’t even had a taste! One very fun thing about this wine is it shows a hint of mint chip...mama Daisy’s favorite nuance. The palate has tons of depth with cigar box, blueberry, moist leaf tobacco, black cherry, and dusty dark cocoa are front and center. The finish seems to go on forever.
