The Haikil Hill Vineyard is nestled in the eastern ridge of the Dry Creek Valley. This ridge was once an ancient riverbed and when the valley was formed the old river rocks were pushed to the top of the hill. This well-draining soil yields a concentrated dark layered Syrah. The 2014 vintage has notes of ripe strawberry, cherry cola, blackberry, cracked pepper, and dried coppa in the nose. The mouth reveals velvety tannins, backed by dark fruit, and hints of blueberry.
