The story of Silk Purse is simple: Kerry's wanderings around the country as a wine consultant took him to many premium vineyard sites with absolutely delicious fruit. It became obvious to us that we needed to launch a small second brand and so we have focused on obtaining the highest quality fruit to pour into our Silk Purse line of wines.

The Silk Purse Gewurztraminer is from the Umpqua Valley in Oregon and was chosen for the brightness of the fruit. Dry and fragrant, this Gewurztraminer pairs perfectly with light spring suppers and is delightful to sip late afternoons in your awakening garden.

Welcome back Drew! Our son returns after a year-long post at SULA Wines in Nashik, India

Over the past 5 years, our son Drew has traveled the world to gain hands-on training from innovative wineries, barrel-makers and marketers. His internships and jobs have taken him to France, Scotland, China and Australia. This spring, he returned from a year-long post, working at SULA WINES in Nashik, India, where he gained unparalelled experience in winemaking, sales and marketing, and cultural understanding in this up-and-coming marketshare.

Drew has promised to keep his feet in local dirt for now, so that he an introduce his extended circle to Palmeri wines.
